Hi,

My name is John and I’m stuck in a hamster wheel.  I am honing my trading skills and capturing the process in hopes that I can be successful in a new career.  I realized quite a while ago that we’re all out here chasing money in one way or another, might as well cut out as many middlemen as possible.  I have some things going for me already.  Unfortunately a large bankroll isn’t one of them, so I’ll have to build it from scratch.  Fortunately, I have plenty of computing gear, bandwidth and unstructured time that will allow me to keep an eye on the markets.

I’ve tried this before with mildly unsuccessful results, so this is officially attempt number two.  There were two main problems with the last attempt:  lack of risk management and itchy trigger finger.  I was getting for the wrong reasons, and holding on because I didn’t have a clear exit strategy.

In the blog, I’ll discuss my trading and risk managment plan along with entries, exits, and results of trades.  I intend to mostly trade short-term stocks and futures, but am an opportunist at heart, so if compelled, I may trade some other things.  Hopefully you find this interesting.  If so, feel free to leave a comment or sign the guestbook.
